PLF Reviews publishes this page so that any reader — or any skeptic — can see exactly how we arrive at our Product Launch Formula verdict. It is the detailed version of the short methodology summary on our about page.
Which Jeff Walker programs PLF Reviews covers
We cover the programs people actually search for: Product Launch Formula, the free Launch Masterclass, PLF Live, Launchy.ai and the book Launch. We pick topics from real search demand (for example “product launch formula price” or “jeff walker seed launch”) and from questions readers send us.
The sources behind every Product Launch Formula review
- Primary sources: Jeff Walker’s official program pages, the PLF Live page and the Launch book page.
- The free training itself: the weekly Launch Masterclass, watched as a participant.
- The book: the updated and expanded edition of Launch (2021).
- Independent accounts: published reviews and long-running blogs by people who bought PLF, such as Steve Pavlina and Ray Brehm.
- Producer communications to affiliates: used only for factual schedule information (for example, the Thursday 4:00 pm ET live session).
Each guide lists its sources at the bottom of the page, as plain text with dates.
Our 6-step process for reviewing Product Launch Formula
Step 1 — Collect the official facts about PLF
What the program includes, who runs it, the schedule and the guarantee, taken from the official pages and recorded with the date we checked them.
Step 2 — Go through the free Launch Masterclass
We watch the three videos and the live PLC3 session, noting what is taught for free and how the offer is presented.
Step 3 — Cross-check PLF with independent students
We compare the official promises with what independent students have published, looking for repeated praise and repeated complaints.
Step 4 — Verify prices and refund terms
Prices are recorded as “reported” with their source and year (for example, $1,997 or six payments of $397 in a 2021 review). We never present an old price as current.
Step 5 — Score Product Launch Formula on four criteria
See the weights below.
Step 6 — Publish the PLF review, then re-check
Every page shows a “last updated” date. We re-check when the program changes and at least every six months.
How the Product Launch Formula score is calculated
| Criterion | Weight | PLF score |
|---|---|---|
| Strategy depth — how complete and specific the launch method is | 30% | 9.8 |
| Track record — longevity, documented results, independent accounts | 25% | 9.6 |
| Beginner friendliness — can someone with a small list apply it? | 20% | 8.4 |
| Value for money — price vs. what’s included and the free alternatives | 25% | 8.9 |
| Weighted total | 100% | 9.245 → 9.2 / 10 |
Scale: 0 to 10. A program needs 8.5 or more to be marked “recommended.”
Independence rules at PLF Reviews
- Jeff Walker’s company does not see pages before they’re published and cannot request score changes.
- We correct facts only when there’s a verifiable error, and we note the correction date.
- Affiliate commissions never change a score or the order of recommendations.
- We never publish invented testimonials, fake results or made-up student names.
- Endorsements quoted on the site are attributed to their original public source.
How PLF Reviews keeps Product Launch Formula pages up to date
We review the whole site whenever Jeff Walker changes the program, the price, the Masterclass calendar or the bonuses, and at least every six months. If a program is discontinued or changes substantially, we add a notice at the top of the affected pages and re-score it.
